Boy: The baseball players are headed south for spring training. Pretty soon the geese will all fly back north. Somebody needs to look into what those guys are doing to the geese. Frazz: Probably unrelated, but I'd tune in just to hear the phrase "goose abuse".

When the geese heard the humans say that they’d be catching fly balls, they decided they didn’t want to watch.

‘Goose Abuse’ – I just can see it now – another organization pleading, pulling heart-strings(violins in the background), to protect the poor geese, starving, etc.

Correlation/causation. Always fun. Next he can investigate the increase in shark attacks the follows the annual spike in beer and ice cream sales.

The stupid geese haven’t flown south from here in years.

yup. our geese are permanent residents now, and folks get upset when we have to cull them before they over populate.

If young geese lose their parents, they don’t learn to migrate so they just hang out for the winter…

Geese are like humans. They do no more than what they have to to survive. Golf courses are perfect habitat for feeding, and nesting. Ta Da !The waterfowl migration patterns have changed drastically, seeminly more so on the Atlantic flyway.

We lived right on the Mississippi Flyway for several years. Had a ringside seat to many migrations.

I live in south Louisiana next door to a small man-made lake. The Canada Geese use it as a rest stop. They fly over our neighborhood almost year-round.
And college baseball starts this Friday.
