I worked in a retail store whose policy said I had to give two weeks notice and that they would have the schedule up two weeks in advance.
When I quit, the new schedule was supposed to start the next day and it was not up so I told them that I would “finish the required posted two week schedule” and then told my new employer I would start on Monday.

I almost agree with our slacker friend here. Alas, ‘turnabout is fair play’ doesn’t seem to be catching on with employers.

You do have the right to walk out without two weeks notice. But that won’t look good in your next interview.
