How much more rope is the GOP willing to let Trump have on his policy proclamations? Once the house of cards collapses, Trump will just blame everyone else.

Spineless, useless, Congress still cowering in the shadows.

At least Trump has an excuse – he’s certifiably loco. On the other hand, Paul Ryan is the slimiest swamp creature there is, and Mitch McConnell is happy to have Trump do his dirty work for him. The GOP doesn’t want to rein T-Rump in.

Love the “if he got out of control” bit. He’s been out of control since the start. The Republicans finally clicked on how nice it would be to have such a distraction while they loot our social security and medicare.

    @ Crow Nobo and Omnius:

Please tone it down, guys. You are just making the liberal/left look bad with your uncontrolled and unceasing invective and giving ammunition to the Alt-Right.

The so-called “Republicans” (Anti-Democrat/Anti-Independent/Anti-true-Republican/Anti-Liberal/Anti-Moderates) are waiting for Trump to destroy the regulations which keep them, and their contributors, from ripping off the middle-class and the poor. Then they’ll have him declared incompetent and put Pence in his place to complete the job.

Let’s not pretend that Trump is anything else but a REPUBLICAN creation.

All the Republican leadership and all the followers in the legislature are trying as hard as they can to jam all Trump appointees into position before they can be investigated and WITHOUT any financial documentation.

And all the Republicans who ‘contribute’ here are longing to rid the country of all public land and for the rivers to catch fire once more.

For whatever one thinks Trump is most comfortable as a Republican. And he attracts extremists to his side. White Supremacists, White Separatists, Plutocrats and Theocrats all with one idea on their mind, total control of the USA. Any one of them are bad, all of them together even more so.

Voters still don’t think much of Congress, and that includes the members they elect themselves.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that just 11% of Likely U.S. Voters think Congress is doing a good or excellent job. That’s unchanged from February. Fifty-seven percent (57%) say Congress is doing a poor job, down slightly from 60% in February, but generally in line with previous surveys.

When the new Republican-led Congress arrived in January of last year, positive reviews inched up to double digits for the first time in over two years and hit a recent high of 16% the following month. The percentage of voters giving the legislators poor marks dropped into the 50s during the early months of 2015 after generally running in the 60s and 70s since mid-2011.

Voters still express little confidence in their local representatives. Just 24% think their representative in Congress is the best possible person for the job. Forty-five percent (45%) disagree, but 31% are not sure. That, too, is in line with previous surveys.

Nonetheless, 34% think their local representative deserves to be reelected, regardless of how Congress Is doing overall. While that’s also in line with recent surveys, it’s the highest level of support for reelection in more than five years. Forty-one percent (41%) don’t think their local representative deserves reelection, but 25% are not sure.

And Trump’s constant tweets only prove how little he knows or cares about our system of government. Since HE tweeted about a so-called judge, HE can now be called a so-called president. And I use the lower case intentionally.
