LOL!!! Great toon today, GT! A lot to unpack here. My, the irony of Roland saying it is easy to forget how many people are still hurting out there. I love the thought of Roland replacing O’Reilly— they both are so silly. GT/Roland point out the very superficial and ill-informed Trumpisms— framed magazine covers, “no one LIKES lying,” “ban will keep total myth from metastasizing into remote possibility,” the many misspellings in Trump tweets are not typos but rather thinkos, (given their frequency), and no need for the Ethics Office according to Trump, (that’s rich), and protestors “stop to shop”— well, not Trump brands!
RBH @ Needachuckle— RBH? Really Bad Hair? I assume it is Really Bad Hair. I don’t know what else it could be in Trump’s case. Not Rutherford B. Hayes, or Royal Brisbane Hospital, or a few others that might fit… Though Really Bad Hair doesn’t seem to work in terms of Trump’s brain other than it covers it up slightly.
Ha ha. Well, between Clinton and Trump, we can all know about IOKIYAR and IACIYAD.IT’S OK IF YOU’RE A REPUBLICAN and IT’S A CRIME IF YOU’RE A DEMOCRAT.
The only major thing I see missing today is the most important thing we now have to worry about with trump— his connection to the Russians and his involvement with Russian espionage during the election. The pathetic recent attempt by trump to divert attention from this by insisting that Obama had trump tower bugged is especially interesting. Obama had no such power. Nixon would have done this, but that was before the foreign intelligence surveillance act of 1978.
Roland has changed so much over the decades. He used to be merely quirky before becoming a complete idiot. I’d love if there were a book collecting all of Roland’s appearances, so we could watch his evolution. (In the Trump book, we were able to watch his evolution from a criminal imbecile and dangerous lunatic all the way to a criminal imbecile and dangerous lunatic with the nuclear codes!)
Of course, intelligent conservatives have a low opinion of Trump for far too many reasons to list here. But it’s easy enough to list just a few conservative pundits who despise Trump. David Brooks, Michael Gerson, Jonah Goldberg, Charles Krauthammer, Kathleen Parker, George Will, and many more. Don’t get me started on liberals who despise Trump, or moderates (such as myself) who despise him. Why not read a few of their columns?
The focus on Russia is to distract us from all the damage in his EO’s and the actions Congres is working on to undo 200 years of positive things in American history and make everything go backwards, and too Hell.
Trudeau’s personal politics are the same as the politics of the strip. Most of us who enjoy his strip do not “follow” his politics, we agree with them.
Many of the readers here developed their political beliefs before they started reading Doonesbury.
Nobody knows what is next with trump after his accusations of obama wire trapping trump tower! I guess next he will say obama messed up the oscars or maybe obama killed Tupac? This coming week should be another fun filled time of doing nothing that needs to be done to help the country and just trying to keep the grumpy old grandpa in the White House from scaring the crap out of everyone by going online and starting WWIII with baseless accusations of political opponents in the US and our allies overseas. Trump has announced plans to further expand imprisoning women and children at the border by about 500% going from 3500 to 20,000, as well as further hassle folks at airports who have no reason to be hassled.
President Obama could not have ordered wiretapping of trump on his own. If trump’s phones were tapped, it is likely that there was a serious reason for this, such as treason, in which case we have a very serious situation on our hands indeed.

When will someone in the media take the fall and ask at a news conference, “Are you an idiot? Or do you just enjoy being a jackass that much?”

Huh. Our local newsrag only printed six of the eight frames. Omitted the first two. Apparently they even edit the comics for content these days.
