Tbh quite a few of those things sounds like it could be done after the appointment, or even without him going.

They sound that way. But… this week’s cartoons were based on reality. And the reality of having two kids is trying to wedge everything in to one day, in the places they go, based on three other people’s schedules. Yay, Family!

Judging from the color of his word cloud all this week, he must’ve come down with the flu!

And in the end, the yield of the trip to the doctor will be, “Stay warm, drink plenty, rest, take Ibuprofen for pain, and call me if you cough up anything that looks like it came from under the fridge.”

Our old family doctor once said to my mom at one of those kind of visits “I can write you a prescription and he’ll be better in three or four days, or I can beat a drum, sacrifice a chicken, dance around and sprinkle magic dust on him and he’ll be better in half a week”.

I’m guessing Toby will collapse in the car park and he will have to be rushed to hospital.

If that happens the Field Trip Money, Dry Cleaning, Post Office and buying food will have to wait.
