Mabel, you have a very optimistic view of what goes on in Larry’s snap-trap head bone! I hope you are right! I do like his trousers!

He’s smart and he’s quiet? What is he doing on Ballard St?

Larry gets NPR on the fillings in his teeth. He’s still trying to process the data.

Larry has a lot of trouble with buffer overload, though. Luckily, Mabel doesn’t notice often, because she has a (not necessarily smaller, but selective) buffer.

    Larry:

    “Mabel, Black Label,

    Carling Black Label Beer."

You see when all the data is sorted at the end of a day, all Larry wants is a nice cold , refreshing beer.

Well, the word “process” has a lot of meanings….

You can process data… or paperwork…

    or recycled paper…

Think of the difference between a word processor and a food processor.

The expression on Mabel’s face is admiring…. I love the way so many Ballard St couples enjoy each others … well…. let’s go with “unique talents.”

But the look on Larry’s face tells me his data processing has something in common with a Cuisinart.

And some other things have gotten a bit mixed up in the processing around here lately, too….

So many of you have asked what I “did,” that I have to let you know….

    I got an e-mail response from a mod today…. well yesterday, now….

    He said

“Yes, it was a glitch. Or more of a fat finger, if you know what I mean. We have multiple moderators, of course, and one accidentally clicked the wrong button on one of your flagged posts. He reinstated you the next day, once he realized the mistake.”

    Hoo boy.

    Thanks everybody who wrote….

No way to tell for sure, but I’ll bet your e-mails helped get it noticed.

Which reminds me, x_Tech made an early post on this board… but it’s invisible.

If it doesn’t show up by Wednesday afternoon, PLEASE let’s write the moderators on his behalf.

I’d really appreciate it, since all he was doing was trying to help me… unless it was just another mistake.

Actually, I hope it WAS…. I’d hate to think we’re not allowed to help each other.

    Oh… that reminds me…

WhiteHeron asked some questions yesterday that others have also asked.

    It’s very late and I’m sleepy…. but ….

If somebody is NOT banned, of course, you get to his/her profile by clicking the name or avatar. Once they’re banned, you can’t see it to click on.

So…. I keep a folder in my bookmarks…. I go to the profiles of friends, correspondents, even people I just want to keep an eye on…. and bookmark them while they’re around.

The site change messed me up because I had about 100… but they changed our numbers, thus our profile URLs. My old bookmarks don’t work, so I’ve had to start over.

If someone is missing and I don’t have a bookmark, I try Googling them.

As for knowing I was banned, and knowing I was allowed back…. other users DID tell me.

I’ve made e-mail contact with quite a few posters here, over the years, and through that, phone contact with some of them, so to speak. Ooh a pun.

One day soon if anybody wants it I’ll post where to find my e-mail address.

I could also read the posts… someone posted when my comments were visible again.

You can also check your own status, if you have reason to, by simply logging out to see whether you can still (or once again) read your comments in a comments forum when you’re not logged in….

Not on your profile… they’ll be visible there, banned or not.

Seems one or more of the GC Overlords could benefit from larry’s slow and steady approach to reason and logic, instead of being so hair-triggered at pushing the Ban Button.

I know they’re trying to “clean of Dodge City” but not at the expense of the innocent citizens of Ballard. Our streets aren’t mean, our saloons, while a bit rowdy and raucous, aren’t dens of inequity. The only thing the good contributing folks are packin’ around here, is a wry wit and good sense of humor.

So, I hope in the future that the Marshals of Morality will mute the malicious miscreants and leave the peaceful participants on Ballard Street, alone !

Well, as the Hawk said to the Buzzard; Patience my hind quarters, I’m gonna kill something." I am tired of waiting, and have sent an email to the moderators request the liberation of Xtech. To arms, to arms! Well, at least fingers……
