    The problem with them was that they could not even see the obstacles, the additional problems that must be addressed before the one problem they did acknowledge could even be approached. Direct force, while immediately effective, was also an immediate failure as it set up a series of events that negated any and all solutions extant, creating a historical loop effect with recurring problems.
