Truth, we have a very located cat. (Gracias, Augustín, por decirnos los de la cuarta pared. Por favor, Florchi o algún otro comentarista, no traduzcas esto pensamiento personal mío en el español en las paréntesis.)
GATURRO: What does the lowercase “g” mean in the balloon in panel 1? It looks like a map…of the neighborhood? My rough translation is, In truth, we have a very local (or localized) cat. The 4th panel is interesting, as the question mark has moved to Nik and the redheaded character is speaking directly to us, the readers.
Gaturro – I agree it looks like cross streets on a map. Does he have an implanted GPS? The symbol looks more like an exclamation point than a question mark… maybe it’s a “you are here” symbol.
Mark Trail – As I commented several days ago, but I’m usually the last commenter, there has been a program to re-introduce the black tailed ferret in the plains states. The prairie dog population is diminished here (Kansas) but the Dakotas may have more since it’s less populated with humans.
Judge Parker- The dark-haired “cousin” shot at least one of the guards, and as we already know, is going to let the boys go.
Mary Worth – I noticed recently the name, Roy, in the signature panel. Wikipedia says the strip is drawn by June and Roy Brigman, which may account for inconsistencies in the characters’ appearances.
Florchi and MARVEE, the lower case g and the red exclamation point is the icon of Google Map app. That being said, I don’t get the punchline of the strip.

GATURRO: @ Totochino…after reading all the comments, I think Templo had the best translation…“a very located cat.” I guess that is the joke, that G. is “located” by the red exclamation-point icon.

CK seems to be having a problem loading this morning, so I haven’t read any of their strips today. Maybe later.
