Oh those wonderful mornings, getting up before anyone else, keeping the sound really low and waiting for the test pattern of the Indian in profile to become my favorite cartoons — Mighty Mouse, Heckle and Jeckle, the Warner Bros. stable, and those wonderful, weird-to-my-very-young-eyes cartoons that used to precede movies in the ’30s and 40s.

Either this was set in the 90s when the networks still showed cartoons on Saturday mornings or his parents restrict his cable TV access A LOT.
