Broom-Hilda, it’s time for you to hop on the old broom and take off on a long cross-country adventure! Add some spice to your life! Frequent the low dives and shady hang-outs along the way! Stop and smell the roses!
I wouldn’t be so quick to mute the commercials if the stations didn’t jack up the audio volume for them. I’ll be sitting there watching Arrow or GoT and then WHAM!!!! the volume goes crazy as the phillips lady launches in to her disgusting constipation spiel. Or the battery ad about having armpit hair in your ears. Yuk.

I’ve heard that the new TIVO’s have a way,in your recorded programs, to skip the commercials all together?

Aw c’mon. It’s only 8 out of every 30 minutes on average.

I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a commercial for anything I wanted or needed.

I shut our ads off because I get tired of the lawyers, the car dealers, the house insurance ad – so much better

I stopped watching CBC TV the night they ran “2001” with twenty minutes of commercials every half hour. (And CBC is taxpayer subsidized!)
