There is talk about companies requiring a DNA sample as a condition for employment. Supposedly it is to detect any potential illness which would run up the company insurance costs, but that might just be a cover story for future cloning. Of course, in the real world, even if cloning were perfected for humans, the legal questions resolved, etc., it is still going to take years to grow a new employee, and even that is ignoring the effect of environmental differences between the two. On the other hand, real world facts are regularly ignored these days.
