I can’t recall any track story lines in the last 50+ years. Anybody?? Have I forgotten one?

You may not be an old-fashioned girl but you’re gonna get dated – yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, girl’s talk.

P1- Nobody puts Gary in the corner. Who coaches the track teams? Boonie? Luhm? Roy the JV Basketball Coach? Butch Hobson’s Granddaughter has those Far Away Eyes Mick & the boys sing about on the Some Girls LP. Yes….records and 8 tracks are popular in the valley.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a massive EES eruption as P2.

In all reality , this comic strip is spinning out of control as Milford awaits Ikè’s visit and speech at the VFW. Who’s taking Carrie to the Prom ? Prom theme Make Milford Strong Again ! Meanwhile , the Pottery reopens and Chip Hilton gets Big Chip’s job .

Many questions have arisen about the existence of a track team. Gil coaches baseball AND track, I think. It may explain his absences. I’m sure that the track team is fast…the threat of being asked into the shower has lit a fire under many a hurdler.

The soda shop scene settles it. According to the dictionary an Auk is a northern sea bird. Van Aukin the new kid makes this a remake of Bye Bye Birdie.

Carrie thinks he has an especially cute expression every time his sack smacks the top of the hurdle.

Okay, we had a girl soccer player become a tight end on Gil’s football team, but how is Gary the Hurdler going to help Mimi’s softball team?

Oh, and Gary, just a little advice before you ask Carrie to the prom, you might want to check out the movie of the same name. Make sure you see the original version.

Whoa, what’s with Carrie? She goes from homely, to decent, to a fox in today’s panels. And speaking of decent, today’s Mopped Up Thorp is decent.

Wait, which one is Carrie and which one is Stacy? The identification sequence in P2 would indicate that the brunette is Stacy and the blonde is Carrie, but the dialog in P3 makes it seem the other way round.

Spring and love is in the air. Trees are budding, grass and dandelions are spouting. One thing not spouting are moustaches on Mudlark coeds. Silly of me to think this storyline could get hairy.

Had to read this 3 times before I realized there wasn’t someone named “Carrie Scheming”. I’m I the only one who never heard the expression “scheming on”? Even urban dictionary, my go-to source for what the kids be saying, only has a 7-year-old entry with more than 50% down votes.

Why can’t they do the lettering in mixed case so I can tell the proper nouns from the regular nouns? Is there some sort of comic strip law concerning mandatory ambiguity and reduced legibility?
