The ant probably just lifted him out of the way, a small piece at a time. I’ll bet those antennae were sticking up and kind of dragging on his underside. No wonder it tickled.
Reminds me of camping out. We arrived after dark, threw down our sleeping bags. Soon Ihe paranoid feeling something was crawling on me though I couldn’t find anything. In the morning, I discovered I was lying on an anthill. Funny thing is, none of them stung me, just checked me out.
