I did something similar to my mom when I was a kid. She was asking me about my kindergarten teacher and ask how old she was (dangerous, I know now). I said “She’s really old. Almost as old as you are.” My mom was 28 at the time. :o)
Should be “asked” not “ask” sorry about that.
He must have hit 40.
