My mother would boil eggs in onion skins to get brown eggs.
I remember we used to soak them in tea!!! all before the nice painting sets!!! Happy Easter X
My husband used to buy eggs from a co-worker who had a hobby farm many years ago. She had some rare breeds of chicken that actually produced pale blue and green eggs.

Just buy brown eggs.
Eggshells have a natural coating which repels dyes unless the dyeing liquid has vinegar in it, which I doubt Daddy’s coffee did.
