Put your net income in quotes and the IRS may put you in stripes.

Can you imagine doing Kellyanne’s taxes? All those “alternative receipts” and “alternative deductions”? And her “alternative dependents” (buying them cat food doesn’t make them dependents – unless they’re your parents)!

Y’all know that the feds already have all the info you report on your 1040s, right? 90% of us just take the standard deduction instead of itemizing, so they don’t need to see your receipts. Plus, due to withholding, they also already have your money. And if their calculations of what you owe on your taxes differ from your own, what do you suppose are the odds any court of law will believe yours? So why don’t we just let the IRS do all the paperwork on their computers and send us our refund checks in January?

That wasn’t a rhetorical question. It has an actual answer. The idea has been floated constantly in Congress for decades but always runs into the stone wall of the right-wing group Americans for Tax Reform insisting that income taxes should be as painful as possible so people will hate them even more. So, next time you’re cursing the need to go thru all the unnecessary BS, blame Grover Norquist. He’s got that coming and more.

The only plan that really makes any sense is a 15 to 20% flat tax. Cases of extreme poverty or catastrophic misfortune would pay no tax. The IRS would still be necessary to prevent fraud. Since it makes sense; it will never happen!

I decided not to pay any taxes this year. That way, I’ll be “smart”.

    Right?

The poor don’t have enough money to pay Federal income tax, the Rich have too much influence to pay as much as they should so they pay very very little up to and including zero.

From the Donald Drumpf – Leona Helmsley school of thought; “Taxes? My dear, only the LITTLE PEOPLE pay taxes!”
