An interesting philosophy, to be sure, but it all falls down when one considers that with that many cats, even a blind man would know when it’s time to clean the box.

Carmen is be olfactory challenged, she has no nose.

That may well be, but if your cat is at all like mine, s/he’ll sh!t it up right after your cleaning it. Therefore (five and six for good measure), Schroedinger’s Cat Litter may be your best choice. Doesn’t clean itself like a cat would do, anyhow.

They do make litter boxes that are self cleaning. I just don’t trust them to stop if a cat goes in when it’s running. I just clean the boxes every morning.

MISSCHILI- My cat would do that too. She’d watch me clean it then hop right in and do her business. One time after she hopped in and pooped I scooped it out and she hopped right back in and peed. I scooped that out too, then she looked at me as if to say “That’s all I got” and walked away.

Sorry, don’t get it. Is “it” the cat, the cat box, the crate?…

Until the cat poop that wasn’t covered in liter smokes the house out like something died.

Philosophical foolery. It is what it is whether we look or not. When we look, we know. Once we know what we know, we only know it while we look at it. Once we look away we don’t ‘know’ any more.

It is always empty. Cat poop is delicious chewy nougats to all dogs. Poncho is no exception.
