Liza is a psychotherapist .. I think she was Jane’s. No time to go back right now and see. She’s also an old friend of Dorothy’s. They’re all lesbians, if you can’t get that.
Back in college she had an.. um.. affair. with a large breasted woman, whose boobs almost smothered her. The woman had to perform cpr.
Dorothy is saying Liza had said back then that her date was a good kisser, in spite of it being cpr.
Anyway, one of the recurring jokes is that ever since then, Liza has had an irrational fear of large breasts… in spite of being a practicing therapist.
Dorothy is teasing her … or more like pushing her buttons… by asking the waiter about a large dessert.
After all, dessert and big boobs are supposed to be treats, in their world, and Dorothy (who btw is larger breasted) thinks it’s all funny. And Jane is flat, but a sort of fatal attraction for her is Dorothy’s chest.
It looks like there’s a day missing, in which some dialog relevant to today’s strip would make things clearer. Something to do with breasts. Liza seems to be staring at Dorothy’s and Dorothy pointedly says “extra large”, feeding Liza’s phobia.

Have to admit I don’t know why she said “I am not” instead of the more logical “I did not.”
Maybe just a small continuity error, cos these are new strips, not like when a few reruns would be missing and break the flow.
