Aww poor Pucky and Elvis! Yeah, they just need some time to get used to this strange new world. I love Lupin’s cute brown suit and fedora—reminds me of a cross between a 1920’s Humphrey Bogart-like detective and Indiana Jones.
Our record for cat hiding in a new place was about a week. We knew that we had brought her to the new house, but we couldn’t find her. Finally one day she slunk out of the pantry, looking even skinnier than usual. We guessed that she must have been coming out late at night to get some water.
Luckily, we didn’t have to move again in her lifetime.
Maybe because my cats were socialized (they went to the neighbor’s apartment during the day and she’d let them in) but when I moved they adapted no problem. Though they hated the move itself— FL to CT in a car.
When I still had Natasha and Ash and my life changed 14 years ago, we went from NE to ME, ME to AZ, and the final move from AZ to NM. Not all at once though. I do miss those two. Not sure how my current two would do.
From Georgia’s Facebook feed: Exactly three years ago they actually moved into the Big Pink House. https://www.facebook.com/GeorgiaDunnStudio/photos/a.1531644423547639.1073741827.445708208807938/1536076529771095/?type=3&theater¬if_t=notify_me_page¬if_id=1494954920312060
Just noticed that Elvis’s words are hand-written, rather than the “BCN font” I wonder why? I totally understand the move to a standard font, but I like the old-school bit here, too.

Give ‘em a couple of days and they’ll be exploring all over it.

But Elvis! There must be no room for bureaucracy in journalism…

Just like at the vet clinic. First you can’t get them into the carrier at home. Then they refuse to come out when they get there.

Love how Pucky hated being in the carrier and now he won’t leave it!

Elvis is pretty much an all-caps cat, isn’t he?
