This is why flying carpets should have horns.

When you’re on the 20th Floor of an office building, the outside doesn’t change. Soon you bore of the same view over and over and just work.

You could have approached the window and knocked on it. That flying carpet is too scared to approach tall buildings?

There’s no room for him anyway, Dad’s knees would have been pressed against Hobbes, Hobbes would have complained, they’d get into a skirmish, then Calvin would have needed to pull over, give the both of them a stern warning to be quiet, Dad would have made faces to bug Hobbes, Hobbes would react by blowing raspberries and Calvin wished he’d gotten a dog instead of those two as passengers…

Well, I don’t think he’ll be so happy when what you did with the rug, Calvin.

There is an unbridgeable gap between some age groups….

Why should he take the bus? Did he not bring his car?

Interesting detail – yesterday it was the animated Hobbes waving his arms outside Dad’s window, but today it appears to be the inanimate Hobbes behind Calvin.

This begs the question, is Calvin imagining all this, or is he really on a flying carpet with Hobbes, hovering by his dad’s office window? Because I don’t think he’s ever actually been to his dad’s office before to have it pictured in his head. Has he?
