concur… double HA! He is just burned out from the vacay and needs some home time and some Luddie… Hey! speaking of which, who was taking care of Luddie? (or at least the food and the box)
@Army_Nurse I asked this a couple of times during the last arc. Appatently Luddie has been home all this time or has just been delivered from the boarding facility. Seems it’s up to the reader to infer these details.
But once they move, the new place will BE home and they wont have to travel to see the kids and boat. Sometimes you have to deal with temporary annoyance to make a good life change. We’re downsizing right now – it’s awful but once we are moved into our super easy to keep up place we’ll have weekends to spend having fun, not having yard work and house upkeep. It’s time, Arlo!
I’ll leave my cats for up to three days. More than that, someone comes over to check on them and clean the boxes. 2 of them are 15 yrs old and stuff happens….
Is it just me, but does panel 3 look like an Escher drawing? The counter is up against the refrigerator door, and there seemingly are clouds in the kitchen…
I have been stuck in the same darn, backwater, low voltage, small town for 58 years, and I can’t wait to retire and move the heck away from here. It will be preferable to have my wife go with me, but, if she’s insistent on staying here in her birthtown, I can see us becoming a long-distance couple with visits once a month or so. I hate this place.

This is Hubby and me, reversed. I have no intention of ever moving house, thank you very much.

Losing the desire for new life and new adventures is a sure sign that old age is setting. Lets see if Janus feels the same.

Why do they both look so unhappy in the first panel? It seems like they would be happy to be home.
