GATURRO: TUM TUM TUM (a patch of turbulence). The strip’s panels tell the story well. Mrs. Gordo shows her calm and asks Gordo to back her up, saying “No Gordi, is it not true that nothing happens (during turbulence)?” lol
MARY WORTH: Living in the moment…!
REX MORGAN: So…how is this going to turn out? The best conclusion of this story would be_________________ (fill in the blank).
MARK TRAIL: The artwork makes today’s one-panel strip worth a look.
PHANTOM: I love the look on Diana’s face (panel 3).
COMMENTS: We seem to be losing participants. Any input? Does anyone want to add a couple new strips to liven things up? If so, which ones? Or, perhaps our little of thoughtful commenters has just run it’s course after 6+ years. Suggestions, anyone?
Gaturro My SIL was terrified of flying. We flew together from OC in California to Portland, ME for her very first flight. She grabbed my knee on take-off and wouldn’t let go until we were airborne, did mostly okay during minor turbulence, and by halfway through the flight she was leaning across 2 people to look out the window. When we landed, no one told had her about the thrust reversers. We were already on the ground, the plane started vibrating violently and she freaked. Once we explained what was happening, she was okay with it. A couple of years later, she flew alone to Portland and ran into the tail end of a hurricane. Because of her experience with the first flight, she was able to handle both the violent turbulence and the really rough landing.

Tampoco no me gusta a mí la turbulencia cuando yo esté en un avión; me hace un poquito nauseoso.
