I have always been amazed at the power of the post-hypnotic suggestion. As a 10-year-old I attended a show with my 18-year-old cousin. She went on stage, did the usual weird things with the other participants and was given a post-hypnotic suggestion to, on a certain word spoken by the hypnotist, find a bald man in the audience and kiss him on the top of his head. Five minutes after leaving the stage, the hypnotist spoke the word … my cousin lept up, found a bald man several rows back and proceeded to kiss him on the top of his head. She then stood there, looking dazed and then made her way back to her seat beside me … very embarrassed!
