Ah, a fond memory. My wife and I spent many Saturday mornings “garage sale-ing” to furnish our little house. Our entertainment center that held our volkswagon-sized tv and 8-track stereo system was hand crafted by us out of concrete blocks and 1×8′s. Sadly, our kids furnish their homes via Rooms To Go these days because they don’t have to make a payment until the stuff’s about worn out.

Road signs with bullet holes: one of the surest signs that you are in Bubba Country. And we have many such signs to the southeast of me.

How did we go from a discussion of retiring & move to remember yard sales? I didn’t experience that much whiplash when I was rear ended by a semi.

Once had a road sign naming the creek…it was called “Needy Creek”…wonder whatever happened to that sign?

Someone got lazy on this one. Usually when they flashback they have different clothes and hair styles.

@John SmithThis is probably leading up to a discussion of how much stuff is in the house that they’d have to get rid of before they move.

The move to the rummage sale memories was a bit jarring for me to. But I guess it can fit in the way that Canuckamuck suggests.

Our city had its annual garage sale last weekend. Could hardly drive anywhere because of all the cars, parked anywhere they wished.
