I never fed my cats from the table or any people food. They don’t bather me when I eat. My husband on the other hand, puts down the can when he eats sardines or tuna & they bug him no end! He asked why they don’t bother me & I told him they know they won’t get anything.

The cat we had when we were kids would smell any dropped morsel, but rarely eat them. Usually, he would scratch on the floor around it in disgust.
