I’m sure dogs would make great voters. If they can sniff out cancer and other diseases (and there’s a growing body of clinical evidence for this) I’m sure they’d sniff out the best candidate for the actual job.
Since Schulz would make the occasional political reference, I have to wonder if he’s here passingly referring to 18-year-olds not yet having been granted franchise nationally when this strip was written.
