I’m gonna say “A deconstruction of a trashy romance novel protagonist… who probably needs a shower”.

A character of a 1970s movie, or Oskar from Star vs the Forces of Evil.

Literally a “Rhinestone Cowboy.”

That bear in Panel #1 looks terrified.

Among other items depicted: Fishing Poles and a small Barbecue Grill.

Roy: Much longer hair then.

Charlene: Much longer hair now.

Also, Charlene seems far less shy, at least where Roy is concerned.

Didn’t even notice the fishing lures on Roy’s hat at first, or the flies circling him. ;)

The last panel… The look on her face is priceless, LOL!

You know it might be a good thing he met Charlene, I’m willing to bet if he were left on his own he would have died. Unless he asked his rhinestone boots to save him.

Panel 1: I see a bar-uh, bear hiding in the woods.

More like a Rhine-Cow Stoneboy.

Kicked himself out? Or did he leave by mutual agreement?

Most women ask themselves that question just before marriage.

Roy’s mom cannot abide offenses against good taste, apparently.

All hat and no cattle

Where I live, everyone seems to have one of those trailers in their yard. And they rarely move or are used or such. Just abandoned, oversized porta-potties in the bushes!
