Yes, life isn’t fair, but if you have the leisure and access to be looking at this forum, it probably has mostly been unfair in your favor, so quit complaining.
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

I think once you’ve been in the military, the experience marks you for life - I don’t mean good or bad, just indelibly. It seems to stay fresh in your mind.
OK, that’s enough of that.
I blame the internet.
Earlier Life of B said that Euthuno’s icon was a symbol of intolerance. That shows that LifeofB has no idea where it comes from. The South had a different set of Flags that represented the Confederacy than the one that is shown. That Flag was used by the Military and was Flown after the war to Honor the People who fought and gave there all for their country. Most of them had a different reason than most people think for going to war. It has been used by some people for intolerance but actually it is used mostly now to protest against the “establishment” and its presumption of intolerance was something that was put on it by an ignorant press and populace. LifeofB needs to quit being so intolerant and learn more about what he’s talking about.
Ushindi.. You are correct.. and it depends on whether one is just “in” the military, or if one sees combat. They both stay with one, and colors one’s life, one a lot more than the other..

BD also has enough self-awareness to recognize his jealousy. That’s a start.

If BD wants to go back down range, he can. There are some officers who’ve been dismembered and remain on active duty and down range.
