Zipper: And that's the library, where students used to work on "theses" back in the day... that was before technology made it possible to simply order papers online. Any questions so far? Toggle: Yes. Does Walden offer... double major? Toggle: Double major? No, I'm afraid you're confusing us with Harvard. Toggle: I am? Zipper: Don't be embarrassed - it actually happens a lot.

True enough. Harvard just ain’t what it used to be, if it ever was.

The unqualified teaching the uncomitted to do the unnecessary. Sounds like the Army.

Do you guys realize that toggle was the fobbit in charge of loading people’s pods in the sandtrap? His biggest contribution over there was being able to match his tunes to the soldier.
And he’s in a metal band. Yep he’s Walden material. Music major! with double major in I-podology.

We don’t know that was his only contribution. Just because he wasn’t shown doing anything important doesn’t mean he didn’t.
Also, for everyone who didn’t get the joke – originally, Walden was a parody of Harvard, because Trudeau went there.

Actually he went to Yale (Fall 66 to Spring 70) and it’s a Yale parody. Doonesbury is actually a continuation of his strip for the college paper “Bull Tales”. President King was based on then Yale president Kingman BrewsterJR.
