So between p2 and p3 Dafne switches the phone to the other ear and completely changes her hair style, somehow growing back that gap around her ears. Plus she’s no longer on a phone with a cord. Either that or the girl in p3 is the one placing the call, in which case Dafne is now telling her to ask Van Auken why he switched schools. This is baffling even by Gil Thorp standards.
Yeah, the jagged line on the word balloon messes this one up. Ratting on RVA, kids can be so cruel. My guess is accused inappropriate sexual conduct on RVA’s part.
Like Chip mentioned. Milford is an osmosis, time warping from the 1950’s to the 21st Century. P3- Today’s reoccurring guest star in Milford Masterpiece Theatre, a Quinn Martin Production, is Rick Springfield, sporting the timeless mullet.
Oh, you mean the story where he lost his temper, beaned the opponent, left him a quadriplegic whose mother committed suicide. Hey, that’s old news. Got anything good for this year?
How long ago was it that Milford’s wrestling team had somebody on it who had killed somebody back in the town he moved from? Or am I completely remembering that story wrong? Anyway, maybe a bunch more memorial libraries-on-a-stick are about to spring up just as soon as Ryan is provoked into hurling a beanball.
So preceding this phone call, one of the CC girls said, “Should we tell them we’re coming?” Then she calls the Milford paper and tells them to do a story on Ryan. Um, what? How is that “telling them we’re coming”? And speaking of coming, today’s Mopped Up Thorp is coming along just fine. In fact it’s done: https://moppedupthorp.wordpress.com/
P1 – At first glance, you might think her comment is meant to be referring to how “old-fashioned” it is that she got a phone call. Ho ho, not so fast. Gil Thorp is stuck in the 50’s, what she means by that is nobody would call a workplace asking for a female. Unless it was far in the future when there is gender equality!
P2 – So in the previous strip the kid answering the phone wasn’t sure if Double D was there, he was going to look around. Then he hands the phone to her, sitting about 2 feet from where he’s standing. I hope he didn’t spend too long looking.
P3 – Others already pointed out the screw up in the dialog balloon. It should be coming out of that girl’s mouth, not out of the earpiece as that is what she (Central City girl) is saying.

Are those two people in P3 just strolling through the school paper’s office?

Careful, Double D, with Van Awkward’s temper, this could turn into another one of those “Niagra Falls” moments.

Sell high on RVA after the CG SO in the last start. Is that Word Perfect being used in P1?

P-1: I can’t take that. I only use Princess phones.
P-2: Hello, what’s wrong with this phone? Oh, it’s a Volume business thingy!
P-3: So, Central City is stirring up Milford by passing stories from Kingsbrook (to Queen’s Bishop 3). Check your logic at the door, please.
