I literally just opened a can of spinach 15 minutes ago and found a grasshopper inside! Then I check the comics, this is the first one I click on, and this. The universe has a sick sense of humor. :/

Ah! The modern version of Popeye.

I wonder what his superpowers are. The only one that comes to mind is, “Able to leaf tall buildings in a single bound”. Maybe also add, stands over his corn and peas, but that’s getting into Jolly Green Giant territory.

Now Jeff0811, that’s unfair. Spinach man has a lot of grit.

But when “Spinach Man” goes into action against the bad guys, does “Stars and Striped Forever” start playing in the background?? I ALWAYS loved that part of the old Max Fleischer Popeye cartoons! Crack open the can of spinach, take a gulp, and wait for the music to start!

I liked the creative ways Popeye got the spinach cans open, sometimes sucked the spinach through his pipe, and reacted to swallowing it!

I love fresh spinach. And frozen is ok. But canned is awful! I’ll have to think about the grasshopper.
