If things work out so that I get a 3 day weekend, who am I to complain? Don’t over-think it Caulfield, just go with it. When you join the work force you will understand.
They used to be…that’s why they changed them to Mondays. The only one that started out on a monday was Labor day. And of course, they used to let us off on Good Friday.
I’ll take a 3-day weekend any way I can get it, but I prefer Monday because there’s more to look forward to. Get through the 5-day workweek (and let’s face it; that Friday before a holiday weekend is pretty lax), then you have the 3-day weekend AND a 4-day workweek to look forward to.

A holiday on Friday, seems unnatural.

Love the final point that even with a 3-day weekend stretching into Monday, we can’t wait to get it started early on Friday!

Could be worse. The holidays could be on a Wednesday!

I don’t like Mondays unless they’re holiday Mondays.

I’m retired and have a 7-day weekend. Great career move! I recommend it to all my friends.

I liked to take my vacations days that way. Take Fridays off so I could have a month or more worth of 4 day weeks.
