My guess is, unless the wolf who started the fire stole a vest and lost his cap, it’s him. I don’t think the woman who ran the laundry is the victim, since she ran away and likely found a hiding place for a while.
If I could have my choice of who the victim would be, I’d vote for the pyromaniac who started the fire in the first place. Maybe he was careless enough to have splashed the solvent all over himself, all he needed was a spark.
My guess is an employee. Horse lady had to have help. Some one to work the machines and such. My guess is the victim was trapped in a machinery room off to the side.
Looking back, it’s not a given that the wolf who spread the flammable liquid is also the one who struck the match. Someone could have tossed it in through the open door while he was still spreading it around.

Maybe it’s a pork roast. That would really bring matters to the fore front.

Hoss was seen hopping over the fence, so, hopefully, it wasn’t her.

Looks more wolf-like than horse-like.

I’m guessing the wolf didn’t make it out in time. He started the fire, and it finished him. I guess I got my Wile E. Coyote moment, after all…

Could be some wolf they killed for being against the other wolves. But will have to see … what this town needs is Columbo.
