I wonder how many recent high school graduates can read the text of the first panel.
I used to think that with my kids: it’s cheaper to clothe ’em, than to feed ’em…except…for shoes ! Talk about incurring the National Debt !
Go barefoot earlier in the spring?
Bigger steps implies a bigger impact on the shoe at each step, probably causing them to wear out faster. Better advice would be to take fewer steps!
