    This is why you should always cook at home if at all possible. The same food made at home is often literally several hundred calories less than it would be at the store without even resorting to low fat, low sugar, type stuff.. Just basic simple normal food. If you go organic and avoid stuff like high fructose corn syrup and trans fat you’ll do even better. You can in fact lose weight and get healthier eating any type of food. Pancakes with real maple syrup. Cheeseburgers. Sausage. Pizza. Anything. Good honest home made food for the win. Of course, how you cook matters, but very few home cooks go to the degree of excess that most restaurants do. Not just calories, either – also salt, et cetera.
