B.D.: I had a chat with Ray last night. He made hi unite do calisthenics on Christmas... so right in the middle of the chat, the guys started hurling their boots at him! Boopsie: They threw their boots at Ray? B.D.: Knocked him right on his can. Boopsie: But isn't that a sign of disrespect in your culture? B.D.: No, no, in the Army, this passes for love.

“These are my boots. There are many like them, but these ones are my own. I will keep them shined and ready to throw at my sergeant in a display of affection at anytime.”

Reminds me of the old joke:
Drill sergeant: “I suppose that when I die, you will come and piss on my grave!”
Recruit: “No, sir! When I get out of the army, sir, I’m never going to stand in line again, sir!”
