Charliegirl: According to this site, you’re right; I used to work in a restaurant while I was in college, and I never heard the term: http://www.dinerlingo.com/dictionary/frog-sticks

I thought they were serving more upscale fare than hamburgers?

@MJB515 There are upscale burgers. It depends on what kind meat you grind, how much fat you put in, what else you put in, how you cook it, and what you put on it.

Well this was written for Arlo and Janis to be doing over the Memorial Day Holiday opening. Burgers should definitely be on the menu for that! As well as an empty place at the table with a plate and flower as Jimmy added for the day. Thanks for remembering Jimmy!

What’s wrong with saying “frog sticks”? Is that a PC thing?

I’ve worked in several restaurants and never heard any of these terms. The orders were always written down for the cook to read.

“Burn one”!? Bleh. Just put a charcoal briquette on the bun for that one. Or a hockey puck. Like they serve at Five Guys.
