Poor Laika aka Little Lemon died of “heat and exhaustion”. Don’t forget chimps are still Laika (Little Lemon) died of “heat and exhaustion”. Chimps are even now used in spacial experiments. It would appear animals have their uses……..sickening, n’est-ce pas?

Let’s hope the windows won’t open. If there isn’t anything out there to breathe it is scattered all over several parsecs of Space.

Sure, blame the dog.

Hey!
The first “person” in space was a dog!
Laika, who orbited the Earth in 1957,
on the Russian spacecraft “Sputnik,”
gave her life (albeit not by her own choice) to prove that a living creature could survive lift-off and going into orbit…..
though we now know that she didn’t live much longer than that.
She wore a bag for waste….
so she probably smelled no worse and whined less than a human astronaut.

Actually, considering poor Laika’s unfair and unwarranted fate….
I’d rather other dogs didn’t go into space,
not till they have a way to give or withhold their informed consent.

Not to mention not being able to see out the windows because of all the dog nose prints…

What? Humans don’t create “sudden odors?” If not, then I must be a dog. Where’s my treat?

The legend says “intergalactic missions” but the little capsule says “Mars mission.” Which is it?

Luckily I have a dog who has never let out a stinky.
