I remember records. Thanks for making me feel old.

I still have records. I love them!! iPod? What’s that? I’ll never own one. I just installed a tape deck in my car. Give me back those good old days!

I remember 45’s and 331/3’s kid and I tell ya I may be old but I ain’t ancient, thank you ;D

Uh oh. I remember the old 78’s, the thick, thick records played on a record player where the sound came out of the speaker actually mounted on the arm of the needle holder, and the needles were in packs like pencil leads ‘cause they were as thick as a #2.

i have about a dozen milk crates full of LPs in my “music” room. sadly, i need to get either a new needle or a new turntable in order to listen to any of them now. not high on my priority list yet.

Gee, the only comment to my posting about 78’s is a spammer. Well, I flagged the heck out of him.

Quaby, my Victrola which plays those old 78s actually uses the cabinet itself as a speaker rather than a horn type speaker. It’s a floor standing model from around 1916 which also has storage space for those records in the cabinet.

hey, i’m only 23 and i know what records are! don’t feel too old, all you old people. :-) i will say, though, i LOVE my ipod.

I’ve seen turntables with USB connection so you can convert your old vinyl to MP3 format.

Scary1121, I will never do that. I love my vinyl.
