Tia Carmen: How was your appointment, Sergio? Dad: Dr. Garcia thinks I'm a little stressed out. Tia Carmen: Here... have some herbal tea. Dad: Is this a stress-relieving home remedy? Tia Carmen: Now it is.
Hi Josh: Has nothing to do with ethnicity. My Gram (Polish) never had a drink until her 90’s. She received a pacemaker when she was 91 (the oldest PA resident to have one at the time) and her Doctor (who was a top Cardiologist at the age of 90) suggested that she have a small glass of red wine each day with her dinner. She was amazed that he would suggest such a thing but then considered that since he was still practicing medicine at that age, she might take his advice. She lived until well past 100 with all her facilities intact (used to plug into the phone to have her pacemaker checked once a month all by herself. Also had a memory like a steel trap. All 13 of her kids used her as a living phone book and Christmas card list). She was a living history book to all of us Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great, Great Grandchildren. She was also a genuine piece of work. Wonderful sense of humor, up on the latest news and politics, etc. Please don’t judge people because they have an occasional glass of wine, beer or a drink. Also, I’m sorry, who are Yenny’s people?? It is something I am not familiar with.
ElDo: Thank you for the link. I agree, his illustration talent is fabulous. I don’t agree with all his content, however. I don’t think I like the way he portrays women. Maybe I am just too old.
The bible says a little wine for the stomach’s sake.
Did you know that stressed is desserts spelled backward.
and it works the other way as well.
So enjoy.
