PHANTOM: Now he is going to go to the old mill for sure. He’s never one to back away from a challenge.

REX MORGAN: Where has she been all her life. Even if she never knew any, she must have heard something about them.

MARK TRAIL: That was the strangest way to end a conversation. And he never got Johnny’s address.

MARY WORTH: How long will this plot last?

GATURRO: I didn’t know that leer means read in Spanish.

REX MORGAN: I agree with Kelly’s mom comment (last panel).

MARY WORTH: Mary offers Derek a should to cry on. I wonder if she will pick up on Esme’s gross violation of policy (Esme is, after all, an employee of the cruise line).

PHANTOM: Does the phrase, “A penny for you thoughts..” apply?

Crankshaft – As good an excuse as any.

Rex Morgan – I think I’m about to quit reading this comic.

Phantom – Stay home for how long? You can’t stay hidden forever.

Sally Forth – What I hate is a motel that advertises free wi-fi and has one router to serve a hundred rooms.

GATURRO, cont. I’m glad to see G. & Agatha like books (as opposed to reading on a screen). I have found it very interesting that test studies have shown that retention is better when material is read from a hard copy (as opposed to on a screen). A community activist I know thinks libraries are out-dated; I disagree. Comments, anyone?

I’ve been following the classic “Apartment 3-G”, and the author really has nailed the verbally abusive husband. The character is unpleasant enough to repulse the reader, and at the same time a charmer to everyone around him. While I don’t like the character, I admire the author for his accuracy and insight. I understand he was a trained psychologist.
