I used an exterminator for squirrels called Critter Control. Now they send me greetings every New Years, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Easter, etc. Kind of disturbing to get “Happy Father’s Day from Critter Control.”

What nation utilizes 15 to 16 digits in their telephone numbers? Japan or the U.K. perhaps?

Is the Squirrel Wagon for hauling squirrels, or is it meant to be pulled by squirrels?

I’ve seen phone numbers with extra digits (usually 1 or 2) to spell a name. I think the extra digits are just ignored.

With most US phone companies dialing starts as soon as seven digits are entered (or ten digits if the first was a one, which signals an area code to follow.)

    The rest are just ignored.

A lot of businesses that give out their numbers in words have to put in extra letters to make their names fit, but nobody notices.

And if you enter your card number, PIN, etc, and have to call back, the re-dial button starts beeping out all those numbers but it works anyway.

The problems with “1-800-GOT-SQUIRRELS?” are that it’s so long people won’t want to dial it, “555” is fake…

and oh yeah… there’s no question mark button on the phone, you guys!

Still, not a bad business plan. Poor planning and execution aside, I know lots of bird feeding people who would pay to get squirrels out of their feeders forever. Not to mention those tourist locations where the rodents are a pest.
