I live out in the country in south central Texas. My dogs have spent countless hours watching little lizards. Squirrels? Only until the coyotes get them.
I really love TOC, and the running dog-squirrel-stereotype-gag is funny, too. But that seems to be a mere northern American phenomenon. We have dogs and squirrels in Europe too, but our dogs don’t appear over squirrel-addicted. Rabbits, yes.

Our dog shows zero interest in the plentiful squirrels around here. They pretty much ignore him, too.
