Clean underwear in competition is irrelevant. It’s not going to be clean at the end of the competition, no matter how it starts out.

As said by a famous comedian, “First you say it, then you do it”.
Now for the clean underwear joke: A warden to a bunch of prisoners. "Men, time to change your underwear…Snake, you change with Jimmy, Sam, you change with Slash, etc…
Surely you joust.
If you lose it, it won’t be clean underwear.
