Adam West kept up his ties to Batman as the years went by. He voiced the character in two of the Superfriends cartoon shows, as well as in Filmation’s “The New Adventures of Batman”, with Burt Ward voicing Robin in the last. He appeared in an episode of “Batman: The Animated Series” as Simon Trent, an actor who had played a masked crimefighter called The Gray Ghost on TV, and who wound up helping the Dark Knight solve a case. Finally, West played Marion Grange, the mayor of Gotham City in “The Batman” animated series. On a side note, in “The Batman”, Frank Gorshin played Professor Hugo Strange for two seasons prior to his death.
