Those daisies are nontoxic to domesticated and domestic animals. On the other hand, mums… let’s just say mums is not the word.

Bitter apple spray. Smells absolutely vile before it dries, but after that it’s like it’s not there at all. Well, until you try to eat the plant, then it’s vile again. But that’s the point.

Time to plant a pot of oat grass! Maybe get a catnip plant from the gardening center as well, although that usually has to be kept well out of reach from the more addicted moggies.

Humans eat flowers too. I have seen recipes for battered dandelion blossoms and candied violet petals.

And a late note on Puck’s eating habits. Was the butterfly we saw yesterday a Monarch or a Viceroy? Because Monarchs taste awful and make most insectivores throw up. Because Viceroys look like Monarchs, insect eaters avoid them too.

I read somewhere cats need a small amount of vegetable matter in their diet. Outdoor cats get it naturally.

When I have fresh flowers, Chewie just thinks I brought in a salad bar. Hold the Ranch dressing.

For the first time in forever Breaking Cat News was not top dog in the ‘most likes’ category. The world is a much colder place today.

I hope this was a joke tho. Gerbera daisies are toxic to cats.
