When one of ours do that they try to coax the other into either chasing or being chased. So king-size cat gallops through followed by small cat close on his heels.
Miscreant doesn’t understand why the dog doesn’t like chasing him around the house. He will try his darnedest to get the dog to chase him but to no avail. The dog just won’t do it so Miscreant has to chase himself around the bed or try to chase one of the girls. The only problem is that the girls don’t like being chased and they stop and fight. Miscreant is usually on the losing end of that.
For her first year with me, one of my cats would daily practice a run from the backyard to behind the refrigerator in the kitchen. She was a well-adjusted cat but knew to diligently practice this “escape route”.
There’s nothing quite as fun as seeing Jingle Bell Katt chasing a hapless fly that got into the apartment. Though she’s a little chubby, she gets some pretty good air time trying to bring down her prey!

Pretty much like our cat, but she has a fuzzy pink mouse (actually several of them) that she drags all over the house while she’s running.

One of our long haired cats was getting matted badly so we had a lion cut done on her
She seems to love it, a 15 year old cat suddenly is so happy she’s acting like a kitten again
I was up for the 3AM crazy show, it was a good one

We called it “time trials”. Repeat the course as many times as necessary to shave those few critical seconds off your record.

Makes me think of the fabulous Shaw brothers, Chinese film makers, media moguls, philanthropists, named Runje, Runde, Runme, and Run Run.
