The right goes on & on about the evils of public debt – but the real drag on the economy is private debt, and student debt is among the most damaging.
If the federal government forgave all the student debt it holds, and bought out all privately-held the student debt, it would cost less than the tax break the Republiklans just gave the billionaires, and unlike that giveaway of your money, it would help everyone, not 1% of everyone; write to, and call, your elected representatives and demand this NOW!!!!
