Ever increasing profits…such as those generated by GM, Chrysler, and Ford, right? The “Big Three” were generating so much profit that the government had to bail two of the three out of debt. Hmmm, I guess my background in economics and business must have confused the terms profits and debts when I learned them. Outsourcing in most cases is simply motivated by a desire to stay in business. And yes, profit is a motive for most businesses, otherwise there’d be no reason to be in business. The desire to give away one’s money at a failing enterprise is hardly the stuff dreams are made of, and most certainly not the reason so many people STILL flock to the US.

Ah, outsourcing. Not necessitated by a need to keep up in industry but by a need for ever increasing profits.

Owens Corning pretty much flushed itself down the toilet when it outsourced it’s financial/bookkeeping work to India.
