Joanie: Karzai? Oh, my God - Jeff's in over his head again, isn't he? RIck: Yup. What's amazing is he never seems to notice. Jeff: Yo, feel my guns? Flight Attendant: I'll pass. Voice: Rascal! The briefing! Focus!

Has anyone kept track of when the red rascal has been used. I would like to use them to illustrate Walter Mitty type dream sequence in a literature class.

I suspect that we will see Havoc. I trust that Jeff will fall on his face. He is SUCH a loser. Will he ever get a real job. Does Rick blame himself for once diapering Jeff’s head?

Isn’t Havoc a Taliban prisoner right now? Jeff may be his best hope for an incredible Rascal rescue.
I keep getting confused about what’s real and what’s fictional in this strip. I hope the RR can get to Havoc before, the Taliban cuts his head off.

Maybe Rascal is so stupid, he’s smart.
Jeff has international fame, he’s flying around on private jets, and is hobnobbing and contributing within the top circles of his chosen profession. Through his Rascal stories, he has earned incredible opportunities to learn, make the right friends, and pad his resume.
Not bad for a loser… Jeff couldn’t have risen so fast if he had a law degree from Harvard. Maybe it’s all an act, but I’m wondering where GT is taking us with this storyline. Perhaps the moral of this story is that only the unintelligent prosper in the intelligence business.

So, either Overkill’s a delusional nutcase, or for some dark plan he’s setting Jeff up to be some sort of fall guy.
In real life (or as real as life can get in these circumstances,) either way Jeff would be dead meat. However, since all of this occurs in the mind of Garry Trudeau Jeff will probably somehow come out of it. You will note that those notable “Doonesbury” characters who have died have never died violently.
